Reiki is a Japanese word that can be translated as “universal life energy.” Rei refers to the “Higher Power or God’s Wisdom,” and Ki is “Life Force Energy.”
This form of alternative medicine was discovered by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui. From there, the Usui Reiki system was developed in 1922. This Japanese technique aids stress reduction, relaxation, and openness — which together promote healing. For example, if the life force energy is low, then the person is more prone to sickness, disease, and/or stress.
Reiki is a natural, simple, and safe method of spiritual healing that opens the pathways to wholeness, recovery, balance, and harmony. Many ask if Reiki can be substituted for medical treatments and therapeutic techniques. The answer is Reiki should be done in conjunction with prescribed medical treatments. Reiki treatments help minimize aches and pains as well as any side effects from medications; this helps promote a full recovery from any injury or sickness. Reiki is safe for all; it is used on adults, seniors, children, and pets!
At Heal Me Energy, we practice hands-on Reiki treatments and distant Reiki healing. In addition, we also offer Aura and Chakra Balancing techniques.
Traditional Usui Reiki Session - Hands-on Healing
A guided Reiki treatment consists of fully clothed patient who either lays on a massage table or sits comfortably, as the therapist hones in on the energy pathways across the body. Hand's of the therapist then act as conduits of positive energy, hovering above each pathway for several minutes at a time.
Usui Reiki + Aura and Chakra Balancing Session- Hands-on Healing
A guided Reiki Treatment along with Aura & Chakra Balancing. The client lays fully clothed on a massage bed and both treatments are administrated allowing for greater openness, energy penetration and balance. Each chakra is examined, balanced and ensured its in optimal rotation.
Reiki is not a religion; Reiki energy is spiritual in nature. As a practitioner, I was never asked to alter my religious or spiritual beliefs.
Reiki energy comes from the Higher Powers, which are on a higher dimension than the ordinary world of which we are typically aware. Reiki energy can be viewed as energy flowing from the universe to the practitioner’s head; it then flows out of the practitioner’s hands and onto the client’s body.
Therefore, as a practitioner conducts a treatment, he/she isn’t using his/her own energy. The healing energy flows from a transcendental part of ourselves that is connected to universal energy.
Reiki sessions differs from one person to the next. Some folks may feel heat from the practitioner’s hands, while some feel a cool sensation. Some people may fall asleep during the session, while some may be more talkative or emotional.
Since Reiki is delicate and subtle, more than one Reiki session is needed to experience deeper benefits. Usually any session is simply calming and and the client may feel more effects afterwards. One commonality is most clients feel comfortable, relaxed, and stress-free at the end of session. A few hours later, many clients tend to notice that they are more centered and grounded, calmer, less reactive, and less stressed.
Most commonly, a complete session is offered to a fully clothed client lying on a treatment table. If the client is unable to lie down, he/she can still receive the treatment while sitting comfortably in a chair (fully clothed).
The treatment consists of soft, non-invasive touch with the practitioner’s hands, starting from the head and ending on the feet. The placement of the hands is never intrusive or inappropriate, and kept light and soft. If some areas are in need of greater attention (i.e. pain in a particular area or an injury) the practitioner will sense this and likely spend more time there.
An average treatment is about 50 to 55 minutes, and can be extended if aura and chakra balancing is also preferred.
Also last 5-10 mins is used for questions and answers.
Professional Reiki practitioners have a dedicated quiet space where they conduct their treatments.
The client is asked to lie (fully clothed) on a massage table and offered a sheet/blanket. Soft lights are usually used, to provide the client relaxation. Some clients may even opt for soft soothing music.
There is no right or wrong number of sessions; it more or less depends on what one is dealing with. An average recommendation is four to five sessions to see the full effects and get the opportunity to evaluate the benefits you are receiving. In the case of serious health issues, one can receive several Reiki sessions in a matter of few days.
Overall, there is no fixed number of sessions; consult with the practitioner to seek individual treatment plan advice.
People feel calm and both mentally and physically relaxed right after the session.
As the day progresses, they might feel more tired than usual. This is not an adverse side effect, but rather the body’s natural healing response kicking in.
The best advice is to drink plenty of water, take an epsom salt bath, and get a good night’s sleep.
We are only open for distant healing appointments only.
No in-person appointments allowed at the moment.
